Mark Watson will be joining Fieldfisher during Paris Arbitration week for a roundtable discussion on the theme ‘Investing in Africa: Risks and Opportunities’.
The event will be an open discussion covering topics including:
- Resource nationalism in mining projects.
- The concept of good faith in construction projects.
- How corruption allegations are being raised in Africa related disputes.
The discussions will be led by industry leaders including African-based and Africa-focused in-house lawyers and arbitration practitioners from Africa-based law firms and organisations. The aim is to encourage an open discussion and dialogue, among representatives of diverse organisations, on issues that concern risks and opportunities in investing in Africa and to allow participants to forge relationships with each other.
