
Syed Muzaffar
Syed Muzaffar has over 20 years of experience in project planning and delay analysis. He has worked for major multi-national companies in Rail, Infrastructure, Construction and Oil and Gas sectors around the world.
He specialises in delay claims analysis and extension of time claims. He is well conversant with various delay analysis techniques. In the last 20+ years, Syed has worked on some of the UK's and the Middle East's largest, most famous projects. They include the Victoria Line Upgrade, Haramain High-Speed Rail, Jeddah Metro, and Riyadh Metro.
After returning to the UK in 2018, Syed joined Decipher. Here, he supported the delay team on projects, including the Deep Tube Upgrade Project for London Underground. He then moved to Baker Hughes in Australia. There, in his role as EPC planner and coordinator, Syed reported to the project director on a major oil and gas infrastructure project. Syed moved to Abu Dhabi in 2023. He worked at FTI Consulting as a Director for forensic planning and litigation before returning to the UK in 2023. Syed worked briefly for BP (Sunbury) as a senior planner on a power plant and carbon capture project in Teesside. He re-joined Decipher Consulting in February 2024 to support our planning and delay team.
