Mark has over 22 years of experience in the construction industry, having worked on a diverse range of projects spanning education, energy, leisure, healthcare, residential, and retail sectors.

He spent 17 years in a quantity surveying role within the Morgan Sindall Group. Starting as a trainee quantity surveyor at Lovell Partnerships, Mark steadily advanced to become a quantity surveyor and commercial lead. In 2012, he achieved Chartered Quantity Surveyor status.

Mark then transitioned to Morgan Sindall Construction, where he continued his professional development by delivering high-value projects in the education sector. He was promoted to Senior Quantity Surveyor in 2016, where he took on responsibility for the commercial delivery of projects valued up to £50 million. These projects included a cinema and retail complex, a medical research and education facility, a university sports building, and a 221-bedroom hotel.

In 2021, Mark was appointed as the Pre-construction Commercial Lead for a public sector framework, overseeing the procurement of projects from feasibility through to RIBA Plan of Work Stage 4.

Recently, Mark has focused on dispute resolution, management, and avoidance. He has led multiple high-value claims and contractual disputes, notably on a £300 million distressed Energy for Waste Power Plant project. Currently, he oversees the management of the commercial team on this project.

Additionally, Mark has gained experience in international arbitration, providing commercial support to a Quantum Expert on a project in the Middle East.

Mark has extensive experience working under various contract forms, including JCT, NEC, IChemE, and FIDIC contracts.
