Senior Consultant - Planning / Delay

Degree educated, you’ll have a minimum of 6 years of post-qualification experience.

Experienced and passionate, you will have a solid background in pre and post contract project planning using Asta Powerproject or Primavera P6 software. You’ll be experienced in either the civil, building or process sectors. Ideally, you’ll have experience in delay analysis, though training can be provided for competent planners. You’ll have well-developed client-facing skills. Outstanding time management, excellent IT and report writing skills are also required. The candidate must have the ability and willingness to assist in coaching and developing the Planning team.

Working as a Senior Consultant in a Planning / Delay role providing services across a range of sectors for a variety of clients.

The role includes project planning, project control and retrospective delay analysis services across the full project lifecycle.

As a Senior Consultant, the role also includes:

  • Leading commercial services multi-disciplinary teams, reviewing and reporting on all aspects of projects.
  • Acting as a role model and mentor to other Decipher employees through training, development and performance management.
  • Writing, editing, and preparing client reports as well as reviewing commercial situations and advising clients accordingly
  • Providing support to Associates and Directors.
  • Promoting oneself with professional institutions.
  • Being involved with developing the construction professionals of tomorrow.
  • Supporting Decipher business development initiatives and events.

Senior Consultant - Quantum / Commercial

You’ll be MRICS with 5 – 10 years of experience from consultant and contractor backgrounds. You’ll have a rounded experience in a variety of construction and engineering projects and be able to deliver all aspects of pre and post contract services with minimal supervision. Well-developed client-facing skills and time management competency are needed. You’ll have excellent IT and report writing skills and a strong attention to detail. The candidate must have the ability and willingness to assist in coaching and developing the Quantity Surveying team. This is an ideal role for an experienced Senior QS or a Quantity Surveyor approaching SQS level.

The role includes managing all project-related cost and value reporting from initial budget estimates to the final figures across the full project lifecycle.

Consultant - Quantum Commercial

Working as a Consultant in a Quantum / Commercial role, you’ll be providing services across a range of sectors for a variety of clients.

The role includes managing project-related cost and value reporting from initial budget estimates to the final figures across the full project lifecycle, from procurement to final account. You’ll be determining schedules, monitoring programmes and helping clients understand risks. You’ll be able to make accurate assessments of progress, carry out forensic analysis in alternative dispute resolution (ADR), and help provide clear and impartial evidence for tribunals (ADR)

You’ll be MRICS with 3 – 6 years of experience from consultant and contractor backgrounds. A rounded experience in a variety of construction and engineering projects is required. You will be able to deliver all aspects of pre and post contract services. You will be developing your client-facing skills and have excellent IT and writing skills. Strong time management competency and attention to detail are needed.

As a Consultant the role also includes management of internal and external project teams, training, development and performance management of Decipher employees, as applicable, acting as a role model and mentor to other Decipher employees. It also sees you providing support to the senior management team, promoting yourself with professional institutions, and being involved with developing the construction professionals of tomorrow.

Consultant - Planning / Delay

Working as a Consultant in a Planning / Delay role providing services across a range of sectors for a variety of clients.  The role includes project planning, project control and retrospective delay analysis services across the full project lifecycle.

The role includes the preparation and assessment of feasibility studies and contract administration. You will understand how to control, manage and report contractual obligations from procurement to final account. You’ll need to know how to determine schedules, monitor programmes and understand risks and make accurate assessments of progress.

In addition, you’ll be undertaking forensic analysis in alternative dispute resolution (ADR), providing clear and impartial evidence for tribunals (ADR) 

You’ll be managing both internal and external project teams, training and developing team colleagues and acting as a role model and mentor to the team, as well as providing support to the senior management team. You’ll take an active role with professional institutions and actively help to promote the Decipher business.
